Reading forward Dominic Samuel has extended his loan spell with Gillingham until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has made 13 appearances for the Gills, scoring just six minutes into his debut against Bury, and has netted five times so far.
Royals manager Brian McDermott was keen for Samuel to stay at Priestfield and said last week: "For Dominic's development, it will be really important for him if he can play a full season and be successful - which he has been so far at Gillingham.
"We can keep watching him doing his stuff there before he comes back to us in the summer with a full season under his belt.
"He is getting stronger all the time, he is scoring goals and his movement is terrific. It is better for us in the long run for him to stay with Gillingham for the remainder of the season than to take him back now."
