Northampton have appointed Rob Page as their new manager on a three-year contract.
The 41-year-old succeeds Chris Wilder after he quit the League Two champions last week to take charge of boyhood club Sheffield United.
Page joins the Cobblers from League One side Port Vale, where he was appointed first team manager in September 2014 after spells as youth team coach, assistant manager and caretaker manager.
The former Sheffield United, Watford and Wales defender took charge of Vale when they were second from bottom. He guided the club to safety in his first season and finished 12th last term.
"We have undertaken a professional, detailed and thorough selection process and we are pleased to have recruited an outstanding young manager like Rob," chairman Kelvin Thomas said on the club's website.
"After an excellent playing career at all levels, Rob is an energetic, young, and ambitious manager, but someone who has also managed nearly 100 games in League One. He knows what the level is all about and that was important to us in our search.
"We were looking for a manager to come in and continue the good work that has been going on and Rob will be able to apply his League One experience to build on the foundations that have been laid here with this group of players.
"He is very highly regarded and I am looking forward to working with him to take Northampton Town Football Club forward as we prepare for an exciting year in League One."
John Harbin will join Page as performance coach while further backroom additions will be announced in due course.
