Northampton have secured the services of winger Paul Anderson following his departure from Bradford earlier on deadline day.

The 28-year-old, formerly of Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Swansea and Ipswich, has signed a one-year contract with the Sky Bet League One outfit.

Cobblers manager Rob Page said: "Paul is a player of proven quality with a lot of Championship experience, and this is a good signing for us.

"I have been pleased with the way we have started the season generally, and Tuesday apart we have looked solid defensively, but we have been looking to add more quality to our offensive play, and Paul will bring that.

"He has pace, he can deliver balls with quality and he creates goals for others. He is an out-and-out attacking threat, he offers genuine width, and he can play on either flank as required.

"He is a good age, he is a talent and he can create that moment of magic in a game that can make the difference.
