Huddersfield are in advanced talks to sign Copenhagen's Danish defender Mathias Jorgensen, Sky sources understand.

The 27-year-old centre back is captain of the Danish Superliga club and has played for his country seven times.

He began his career at Copenhagen and made nearly 100 appearances before moving to PSV in 2012. He returned to Copenhagen a couple of years later and has since made close to a 100 more appearances.

If the deal goes through he will become the sixth signing for the Premier League newcomers this summer.
