David Wagner: Tottenham had too much quality for Huddersfield

David Wagner acknowledged Huddersfield were beaten by the better side as they lost 2-0 to Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday.
Goals in either half from Heung-min Son secured a comfortable victory for Spurs.
The Terriers rarely threatened to get back into the game after falling behind in the 27th minute, and Wagner told Sky Sports: "We got beaten by quality.
"There's no doubt they were the better team and it was a deserved defeat even though in the second half we tried what we were able to do, but we got beaten by quality, that's something we have to accept.
"We have said this before, and I think everybody is able to leave with their heads up and we will prepare for a very exciting game which we have next at our fortress of the John Smith's Stadium [against Swansea next Saturday]."
The Terriers, who were looking for a third straight Premier League win, went closest to scoring shortly before Spurs' second goal as Tom Ince's powerful shot was palmed away by Hugo Lloris.
And Wagner said: "The seconds before the second goal shows everything. Incey unfortunately was not able to score, then one missed pass and an unbelievable ball from Harry Kane, top quality, and they scored the second. for a very exciting game which we have at our fortress of the John Smith's Stadium.
"You need a little bit of luck in one or more situations which we didn't get today. We had a couple of half clear-cut chances which we were not able to take and then they showed the qualities when they scored. We defended well, good organisation, good attitude, the effort was there, but we were not able to really hurt them."
Huddersfield host relegation rivals Swansea and Crystal Palace in their next two games.
"So excited to have two home games," said Wagner. "This is where it counts and what we have shown in the past at home and the support we have had…For sure Saturday will be the best support we have ever had, because everybody is fighting to survive, the supporters as well, and we will prepare as well as we can."
