Brighton loanee Glenn Murray is closing in on a £3m permanent move from Bournemouth, according to Sky sources.
Murray joined Brighton on a season-long loan at the beginning of the season from the Cherries and has gone on to net 14 goals in 22 games for the Seagulls, who currently sit top of the Championship.
Brighton have now set the wheels in motion for a permanent transfer, with a fee understood to be £3m agreed between the clubs for the 33-year-old striker.
Sky sources understand the that the deal is in its final stages and should be completed on Monday.
Former Crystal Palace forward Murray only joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2015 for £4m, but scored just four goals for the club in all competitions.
Murray previously spent four seasons at Brighton between 2007 and 2011 while the club was in League One, scoring 56 times in 136 appearances.
Brighton boss Chris Hughton is now close to securing Murray for a second-coming on a permanent basis, with the striker essential to Hughton's system at the Amex.
