Bournemouth have completed the loan signing of Juan Iturbe from Roma for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old, whose move is subject to FA endorsement and gaining a work permit will not be eligible for Saturday's trip to Leicester, but Eddie Howe's side retain the option to make the switch permanent in the summer for an undisclosed fee.

Iturbe had been on the verge of a move to Premier League rivals Watford before Bournemouth moved to confirm the signing and he has already taken part in his first Cherries training session.

He told Cherries Player: "It's a big opportunity for me to come and play in the Premier League. I'd like to thank everyone for making this move happen and I'm very pleased to be here.

"There were a few clubs that were interested but things happened pretty quickly and once this process was under way it was a straightforward decision for me to make.

It's an easy decision to go to a place where you feel really wanted. That became the overriding factor.
