Bournemouth have had two bids rejected by Norwich for striker Lewis Grabban, according to Sky sources.

Grabban previously spent two years at the Cherries and was sold to Norwich only last summer, and manager Eddie Howe is keen to have him back to provide him more options up-front.

The 27-year-old featured in Norwich's two opening Premier League games but was an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Saturday.

Grabban was a star at Bournemouth, making over 100 appearances and scoring 35 goals after signing from Rotherham in May 2012.

He began his career as a Crystal Palace trainee and spent time on loan at Oldham and Motherwell before signing for Millwall for £150,000 in January 2008.

Grabban scored just nine times in 45 league starts for the Lions and was shipped out on loan again, this time to Brentford during the 2010-11 season, where he scored seven times in League One.
