Rotherham have completed the signing of defender Darnell Fisher from Celtic.

The 22-year-old, primarily a right-back, has signed a three-year deal with the Sky Bet Championship club and becomes manager Alan Stubbs' eighth summer signing.

Fisher, who spent last season on loan at St Johnstone, could make his Rotherham debut against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday. 

"I spoke to the manager on Sunday and now I am just glad that it is all done, and I am very happy to be part of this club," he told Millers Player HD

"I went to Scotland when I was 16 so I am happy to be coming back to England. I am now looking to kick on and show what I am about. 

"St Johnstone was different from Celtic, but I learned a lot from the experience. There were some good lads there, and the manager helped me out a lot. I was delighted with my loan spell there but I am ready for the new challenge now."

Fisher began was his career at Farnborough before moving to Celtic in 2011. During his time with the Scottish champions he won the SPFL title in 2014 and the Scottish League Cup the following season.
