York have appealed against striker Vadaine Oliver's red card in their Sky Bet League Two game against Carlisle on Saturday.
Oliver was dismissed after 51 minutes at Bootham Crescent by referee Nicholas Kinseley for an off-the-ball incident.
York were trailing 2-0 at the time but fought back to take a point through a Luke Summerfield penalty and an equaliser from substitute Josh Carson.
In a statement on the club's official website, the Minstermen said: "York City Football Club can confirm that an appeal has been made to the Football Association following the red card issued to Vadaine Oliver against Carlisle United on Saturday, 19th September 2015."
