Portsmouth moved up to fourth place in Sky Bet League Two with a 3-1 win at fellow promotion hopefuls Accrington.

Midfielder Kyle Bennett fired Pompey into the lead after 22 minutes, before Michael Doyle hit the crossbar.

It was 2-0 in the 36th minute when Stanley defender Matty Pearson turned a cross from Ben Davies into his own net.

Doyle cracked home a third from 30 yards two minutes before half-time and Shay McCartan netted a late consolation for Stanley, who are sixth.

Bristol Rovers are now fifth, behind Pompey on goal difference, after their 3-1 win over AFC Wimbledon at the Memorial Stadium.

Jermaine Easter headed the home side into the lead in the 28th minute, with Ollie Clarke adding a second soon after.

Defender Jon Meades (52) pulled a goal back for Wimbledon early in the second half, but the result was put beyond doubt with 12 minutes left when Rovers forward Matt Taylor netted his 19th goal of the season.
