Oxford have extended the loan deal of Stoke striker George Waring until the end of the season.
Waring has made seven appearances for the U's during his initial month-long stay with the Sky Bet League 2 promotion hopefuls.
The 21-year-old has started the last two games and played a big part in the 4-0 win over Dagenham and the 3-0 victory at Barnet.
His new deal will allow him to play at Wembley against his former club Barnsley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final on April 3.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here" Waring told the club's official website.
"The lads have been great and there is such competition for places up front that it keeps you on your toes and gets the best out of everyone. The team are obviously chasing promotion and I'd love to be involved in that.
"Wembley is only a couple of weeks away now and I'd love to be involved but we have two important league games this weekend before we can even start to think about that game."
