Bristol Rovers and Hartlepool are both in line for an awards double after the nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Manager and Player of the Month for March in the division were announced.
Pirates' boss Darrell Clarke has been nominated after an almost perfect month. He placed the emphasis on attack and entertainment to lead Rovers to six wins and 19 goals from seven matches, jumping from 10th place to within three points of the automatic promotion positions.
Matty Taylor has received his third nomination this season. The Rovers striker was in irresistible form with eight goals in seven games. His movement and ability to score all types of goals was illustrated by his perfect hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Hartlepool United.
And 'Pools manager Craig Hignett is in line for the award after waiting patiently for his first Football League managerial role. Hignett has taken to it smoothly, guiding the club away from the relegation zone in style. Seven games yielded 14 points and made a repeat of last year's late scramble unlikely.
United full-back Jake Carroll was part of a defence which kept four clean sheets to end March. His positional sense and confident play in possession saw him go forward to impressive effect with a headed goal against Dagenham & Redbridge and two assists.
Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale reversed his side's falling fortunes by guiding them through March unbeaten. A haul of 12 points from six games was made even more special by their 100 per cent record on the road, with wins at Cambridge United, Notts County and Crawley Town.
Yeovil Town coach Darren Way completes the managers' list and is his second nomination in four months for maintaining the momentum that has pulled Yeovil clear of the relegation places. His side earned 10 points from five games and kept four clean sheets in the process.
Among the other players nominated is Northampton Town's dynamic midfielder Jon-Joe O'Toole after he bagged four goals in March. Having begun the season on the transfer list, he has returned to the fold to become a vital cog in Northampton's promotion charge.
And Oxford United Kemar Roofe completes the list of nominees. He is difficult to categorise positionally and even harder to mark. The 23-year-old played just behind the main striker in March and caused havoc across the front line with his pace and trickery, providing an assist and scoring an impressive five goals, including a hat-trick against Dagenham.
