Leyton Orient skipper Mathieu Baudry will leave the Matchroom Stadium and Lloyd James is among seven other players released by the club.
French defender Baudry, 28, opted not to sign a new deal earlier in the season and is out of contract later this summer.
Midfielder James, Frazer Shaw, Connor Essam, Jobi McAnuff, Blair Turgott, Bradley Pritchard and Gary Woods have not been offered new contracts.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks to all the players leaving the Matchroom Stadium and we wish them all the very best for the future," the O's said on their official website.
The O's have taken up the one-year option on defender Nicky Hunt's contract.
Baudry, appointed skipper at the start of this season, and James both joined Orient in the summer of 2012 from Bournemouth and Colchester respectively and made their debuts in the same match, a League Cup penalty shoot-out win at Charlton.
The pair made a combined total of 294 appearances for the club, Baudry scoring 10 goals and James, who broke his leg during the 2014/15 campaign, scoring 11.
