Doncaster's John Marquis has won the PFA Fans' Player of the Month award for January in Sky Bet League Two.

The striker enjoyed a stellar start to the year as he scored six goals in five games last month, with Doncaster winning every match to stay top of the table.

Exeter's David Wheeler came second in the voting after netting in five successive matches in January, while Colchester's Kurtis Guthrie was third.

Also in the running were Mansfield's Rhys Bennett, Crawley's James Collins and Charlie Wyke, who left Carlisle in January to join Bradford.

The shortlist was chosen by our expert panel, which included Sky Sports pundits Paul Merson and Peter Beagrie, Mike Riley - general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials - and Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation.
