Hartlepool goalkeeper Adam Bartlett has had his contract terminated by mutual consent after expressing his wish to take up a coaching role at Premier League side Middlesbrough.
Since joining the Sky Bet League Two club in 2015, Bartlett made 29 first-team appearances in all competitions.
A statement on the club's website read: "Bartlett expressed a desire to be released from his current deal to take up a full-time coaching post in Middlesbrough's academy and the club did not want to stand in his way.
"Everybody at the club would like to wish him all the very best in his new career."
