Ian Hendon is among the contenders to win the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month prize after his Leyton Orient side's perfect start to their title bid.

Along with Manchester City, the Brisbane Road club are one of just two clubs in the Premier League and Football League who still have a 100 per cent record.

Orient are top of the table thanks to wins against Barnet, Dagenham and Redbridge, Stevenage, Newport County and Bristol Rovers.

Unsurprisingly, it's the men in charge of the top four sides in the division who make up the shortlist after one month of the campaign.

That means second-placed Plymouth Argyle's Derek Adams is there following an impressive start to his tenure at Home Park, which has seen his side win four of their five games.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth is a candidate after the team which got to last season's play-off final carried their good form into the new term.

Paul Cook makes up the quartet after taking Portsmouth on a five-match unbeaten run that includes three victories.

Wycombe defender Aaron Pierre - a scorer against Morecambe and Dagenham - is there after they kept four clean sheets in five games.

Cambridge United forward Barry Corr could win ahead of all of them though after he scored five goals in the month, including a stunning volley at AFC Wimbledon.

The winners will be announced on Friday along with contenders from the Championship and League One, whose identities will be announced as the week goes on.
