MK Dons have signed midfielder Sergio Aguza from Real Madrid Castilla.

Aguza, who was captain at the Spanish club, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Sky Bet Championship newcomers.

He joined Madrid at the age of 16 and, after impressing for the C team, made his debut for the Castilla side in September 2013. In the last two seasons, Aguza has featured 46 times for the 'Galacticos' reserve team, scoring seven goals.

The 22-year-old was also named on the bench twice for Carlo Ancelotti's first-team last season.

"I've seen Sergio play a number of times and he's an exceptionally talented player. He's very dynamic in his movements and his ball retention as well," said Dons boss Karl Robinson.

"He was captain of Real Madrid Castilla so he'll bring tremendous strength to us. He's someone who will really add to the group and he might be able to give us something we've never had before.

"Obviously he and Cristian (Benavente) will be a few months behind, having to integrate into a new culture and language. It's good, though, that Sergio has someone like Cristian alongside him to help him move forward."

Aguza, like Benavente, who also joined the Dons this month from Real Madrid Castilla, will not be eligible to play until the club has received international clearance.
