Young striker set to leave Stanley
Skysports.com understands that Terry Gornell has turned down the offer of a new deal at Accrington.
The 21-year-old striker is now set to leave on a free transfer, which will alert a host of Football League clubs.
But although Gornell is out of contract, Accrington would be owed a compensation payment given he is under 23.
Gornell caught the eye last season as he helped Stanley to their best-ever league position of fifth in League Two before losing to Stevenage in the play-offs.
After arriving on a free from Tranmere last summer, Gornell went on to score 13 goals in 40 league games.
He scored three goals in 40 League One appearances for Tranmere while having a loan stint with Accy during the 2008/09 season.
