Kris Boyd believes Kenny Miller's experience will have a major influence on the outcome of this weekend's top-of-the-table clash between Hibernian and Rangers.

Hibs entertain the Championship leaders live on Sky Sports on Sunday knowing victory will cut the Glasgow club's lead at the summit to five points.

The former Scotland striker began his career with Hibernian in 1998 and is now in his third period at Ibrox following spells with Wolves, Celtic and Derby County.

Miller will be 36 in December but Kilmarnock striker Boyd believes he still has a lot to offer on the field for Mark Warburton's side as they set their sights on promotion to the top flight.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, the Kilmarnock striker, who played alongside Miller during two spells at Ibrox, said: "Kenny is one that will drive them on.

"He will lead them and will help the manager and Davie Weir as much as he can in terms of pushing the youngsters to the max and getting the best out of them.

"For a club like Rangers it is sometimes invaluable to have someone who is 35 or 36, or I'll say 42 for Kenny, that's been there and done it and I fully expect Rangers to come up.
