A round-up of all the weekend's action from the Scottish Premiership

Aberdeen squandered the chance to go top of the Scottish Premiership when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Inverness CT.

The Dons had trailed by two goals at Pittodrie before Niall McGinn and Adam Rooney struck in the final 17 minutes of regulation time to earn them a point.

Inverness should have taken the lead when Miles Storey strode through the Aberdeen defence on 10 minutes but shot straight at the goalkeeper.

Storey again found himself in a promising position when he shot across Danny Ward and beyond the far post.

At the other end of the pitch, Kenny McLean tried his luck with a dipping free-kick which slithered wide of the post.

Inverness opened the scoring on a 41 minutes when Ross Draper burst into the penalty area and held off Paul Quinn before cutting the ball back from the goal-line for Liam Polworth to crash a low shot past Ward.

Draper again caused the Dons problems in the opening minute of the second half when he nipped in front of Quinn and was bundled over by the defender inside the box.

Greg Tansey (47) kept his composure to send Ward the wrong way from the resulting penalty to double the advantage for the Highlanders.

The Dons got back into the game on 73 minutes when McGinn robbed Gary Warren inside the box and rolled the ball through the legs of Inverness goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams from a tight angle.

McLean almost levelled with a shot from 30 yards which thundered off the crossbar with just four minutes remaining.

But the Dons rescued a point when Rooney kept his cool to blast in a penalty after referee Willie Collum decided David Goodwillie's shot was blocked by Danny Devine's arm, but Inverness held firm during six minutes of stoppage time to take a point.

Liam Boyce scored a hat-trick as Ross County twice came from behind to beat Dundee 5-2 in a thrilling encounter in Dingwall.

Kane Hemmings gave the visitors the lead on five minutes, as Greg Stewart laid the ball into the path of the striker to finish off a swift counter-attack.

But Boyce (29) levelled when he slipped the ball past the advancing Scott Bain after Andrew Davies had headed back a goal-kick from the Dundee 'keeper to send the County striker through.

Eight minutes after the break Stewart was again the provider as he slipped the ball through to Hemmings, who took his goal tally to five in two games, to restore Dundee's lead.

County hit back within 90 seconds, though, as Michael Gardyne fired the ball home off the underside of the bar.

Jackson Irvine put the Highlanders in front on the hour as he pounced on a low corner to clip the ball over the line.

Boyce (69) scored his second with an overhead kick from a Ricky Foster cross, before the Irishman completed his treble from close range five minutes from the end.

Kilmarnock moved 10 points clear of Dundee United at the bottom of the table with a 1-0 victory over Hamilton at New Douglas Park.

In a first half of few chances, Accies almost took the lead when Dougie Imrie's net-bound shot from 15 yards was headed off the line by Conrad Balatoni.

Kilmarnock's best chance came when striker Josh Magennis had a shot deflected against the outside of the post.

Hamilton suffered a blow just after the break when defender Lucas Tagliapietra left the pitch on a stretcher after suffering a neck injury.

The decisive moment of the match came on 69 minutes when Temitope Obadeyi hooked his shot over Accies goalkeeper Michael McGovern after the ball dropped to the Killie forward outside the box.

The games between Dundee United and Motherwell and Partick Thistle and St Johnstone were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Meanwhile, promotion-chasing Falkirk moved within three points of the leaders in the Championship with a 1-0 victory over Dumbarton.

The Bairns dominated the match, but had to settle for a Blair Alston strike nine minutes before the interval at the Falkirk Stadium.

Dumbarton were caught out by a quickly taken free-kick from Craig Sibbald and Alston turned to shoot home from 20 yards.

Falkirk have now gone eight matches undefeated ahead of Monday's match between Rangers and Hibernian, the two teams above them.

At the other end of the table St Mirren dropped to second bottom with a 4-1 reverse to Livingston, who had started the afternoon in that position.

Liam Buchanan gave the visitors the lead on 23 minutes when he clipped the ball in from close range after getting on the end of a fierce delivery from Gary Glen.

And Glen was the provider again nine minutes later when his free-kick found Ben Gordon, who slammed the ball beyond Jamie Langfield.

St Mirren pulled a goal back when Paul McMullan raced to the goal-line and cut a pass back to Lawrence Shankland (41), who swept the ball into the far corner.
