Livingston have revealed their players were locked out of the away changing room at half-time during the 2-0 defeat to Raith Rovers on Saturday after staff lost the key.

The visitors were trailing 1-0 at the break but faced more problems as they struggled to get behind closed doors for a half-time team talk.

Supporters were left mystified as there was a 10-minute delay in the game restarting after the interval at Stark's Park but Livingston have now given an explanation in a statement on their website, labelling it an "unfortunate incident".

Goals from Mark Stewart and Aiden Connolly secured the win for Raith, who moved into fourth place in the Scottish Championship, while Livingston remain in the relegation play-off spot.

The statement said: "Following enquiries from supporters, the club can confirm that our players were unable to gain entry to the away team dressing room for 10 minutes at half time.
