Celtic have lost their appeal against Dedryck Boyata's red card at Hamilton.
The defender was dismissed for a 'last man' challenge on Accies striker Carlton Morris three minutes before the break in the Premiership clash last Friday, which finished 1-1.
Deila initially blamed the former Manchester City defender for the tackle but on reviewing footage of the incident, decided to lodge an appeal, which has fallen on deaf ears.
The Belgian now faces a one-match suspension - which will be served in the next Premiership fixture against Partick Thistle - meaning he will be available for the Sky Live Scottish Cup clash against Morton this weekend.
