Hibernian suffered their fourth straight Championship defeat after losing 2-1 to Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

Alan Stubbs' side have seen their title bid stutter in recent weeks, slipping to third in the table behind Falkirk, while they also went down 2-1 to Ross County in the League Cup final at Hampden.

However, despite securing a Scottish Cup semi-final berth with a replay win over Inverness in midweek, the Easter Road side failed to get back to winning ways in the league even though they took the lead after 25 minutes through Anthony Stokes.

Lewis Toshney equalised for the hosts seven minutes before the interval and Mark Stewart's header after 53 minutes gave Raith the lead.

Jason Cummings slammed a shot against the crossbar, Stokes volleyed over and substitute Chris Dagnall looped a header against a post in the last minute as the home side clung on for the points.

Elsewhere, Queen of the South put a run of three straight defeats behind them with a commanding 6-0 victory over Dumbarton.

Goals from Darren Brownlie and Derek Lyle just before half-time put the hosts in control and Lyle then struck again early in the second half. Alex Harris added his name to the scoresheet twice before substitute Iain Russell completed the rout.

Declan McManus struck twice as Morton beat rock-bottom Alloa 4-1 to record back-to-back wins in the Championship.

Early goals from McManus and Ross Forbes put Morton in charge before the latter hit the post and Denny Johnstone went close. Alloa halved the deficit through Kyle McAusland before half-time but the hosts secured all three points with late strikes from McManus and Johnstone.

A spectacular brace from Lawrence Shankland ended a Livingston revival as St Mirren won 3-2 in West Lothian.

A Stephen Mallan penalty after 15 minutes gave the visitors the lead, only for Liam Buchanan to level 83 seconds later. Shankland gave Alex Rae's side a half-time lead, before Jordan White equalised but the on-loan Aberdeen forward's volley ended Livi's run of three games unbeaten.
