Hamilton collected their second victory in the Betfred Cup, this season, as they recovered from two goals down to win 4-2 at Edinburgh City.
The Scottish Premiership team conceded twice inside the first 20 minutes, with both Edinburgh goals coming from Ross Allum.
His 17th minute opener followed a corner when Mark McConnell had a header cleared off the line and Allum volleyed in the rebound. And two minutes later it was 2-0 for the Lowland League champions, thanks to McConnell's assist.
However, the Accies were level within six minutes. First, Ali Crawford curled home a 30-yard free-kick before Greg Docherty and Louis Longridge combined to set up Alex D'Acol who added a second from 12 yards. It was the Brazilian's first ever goal for the club.
McConnell almost headed into his own net late in the first half, with the Accies finally taking the lead on 66 when Longridge's powerful cross was finished off from close range by Jordan McGregor who was also netting his first Hamilton goal.
And Hamilton completed the scoring 19 minutes from time when McConnell fouled Grant Gillespie, and Dougie Imrie put daylight between the two teams from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile, Cowdenbeath beat Arbroath 2-0 at Gayfield following goals from Craig Johnston and new loan signing Nikolay Todorov.
And at Station Park, Stuart Walker, Mitch Megginson and Daniel Park were the goalscorers as Highland League champions Cove Rangers beat Montrose 3-0.
