Tom Rogic is looking forward to more excitement under Brendan Rodgers after celebrating his new Celtic contract with two goals in the 5-0 Betfred Cup win against Motherwell on Wednesday night.
The former Central Coast Mariners midfielder signed a new deal the day before the game, which keeps him with the Hoops until 2019.
"It was a good couple of days for me," Rogic said. "I am happy to commit my future to the club and it was a perfect way to round that off. I am really happy.
"Since he (Rodgers) has come in the whole environment has been positive so it has been pleasing.
"And working with him, I, along with the other players in the team, feel as though he can get the best out of us and it is exciting.
"Everyone wants to be a part of it. I think the future is bright.
"I am settled here. My girlfriend and I have been here for a few years now and we are happy off the pitch. It's a great club, a fantastic club and there is a real buzz about the place at the moment.
"So it is enjoyable to work with and as I said, I am looking forward to working with him (Rodgers) in the future."
New signings Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair were also on target in the resounding victory against Motherwell, with Celtic handed a home tie against Alloa in the next round.
"The main things is we focus on ourselves," Rogic said. "It is always nice to play at home.
"It is something we always enjoy, the fans make it a good atmosphere."
