Liam Boyce’s hat-trick gave Ross County a 3-2 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a thrilling Highland derby.

Boyce netted twice in the first half and once after the break and despite Scott Boden and Ross Draper replying for Inverness, the Staggies held on to claim their first three points of the season.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock stirred themselves to come from behind and beat Hamilton 2-1 in their clash at the SuperSeal Stadium.

Accies midfielder Louis Longridge opened the scoring in the 26th minute of a quiet first half that was edged by the home side.

Kilmarnock showed little improvement after the break and the game appeared to be drifting to a Hamilton win. However, striker Kris Boyd levelled with a header in the 70th minute, before substitute Souleymane Coulibaly scored the winner three minutes later with a fine strike.

Aberdeen and Hearts are still searching for their first win of the season after a goalless draw at Pittodrie.

Elsewhere, Steven MacLean capitalised on some poor goalkeeping from Craig Samson to earn St Johnstone a 2-1 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.
