Hibernian defeated Dunfermline 2-1 at Easter Road to make it two wins from two in the Scottish Championship.

Jason Cummings got the winner for Hibs, who are alongside Raith Rovers at the top of the standings.

Raith were 3-1 winners at home to St Mirren, but Dundee United have just a point from their first two games, after losing 1-0 at Dumbarton.

A crowd of 16,477, the largest in Scotland on the day, were at Easter Road and they watched Hibs control the first-half.

Neil Lennon's side took the lead just after the half-hour mark in very fortunate fashion, as Dunfermline defender Ben Richards-Everton tried to head clear but could only send the ball looping into his own net.

The hosts came close to adding to their advantage but Pars goalkeeper David Hutton pulled off a great stop and Cummings hit the post with a header.

And Dunfermline levelled with a good goal just before the hour, Joe Cardle slipping the ball through and Gavin Reilly providing a neat finish.

However, Hibs got the winner with 12 minutes left thanks to a terrible mistake from Callum Fordyce, who completely missed the ball as he tried to clear a low Martin Boyle cross, allowing Cummings to score from close range.

Declan McManus bagged a double for Raith, who were comfortable winners over St Mirren at Stark's Park.

His second goal came just a minute after Ross Callachan had made it 2-0 in the 50th-minute, and all the visitors could muster in response was a Ryan Hardie (63) consolation.

And Dundee United are still awaiting their first Championship win of the campaign after a Mark Docherty penalty earned the hosts all three points at Dumbarton Stadium.

The defender tucked away the spot-kick in the 54th-minute after Gregor Buchanan was pushed at a corner.
