Inverness Caley Thistle secured their first points of the season with a last-gasp 2-1 victory over St Johnstone at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, although they remain bottom of the Scottish Premiership table.

Josh Meekings bundled in the winner from close range in the dying seconds to give boss Richie Foran his first win and spark wild celebrations.

The hosts had the better of the game and Ross Draper put them ahead in the 59th minute with a header from a Greg Tansey free-kick.

Saints levelled in style with 11 minutes remaining as Richard Foster arrowed in a shot from 20 yards after being teed up by Steven MacLean.

Inverness went in search of a winner and Draper had another header saved by Alan Mannus before Meekings struck.

Tony Watt opened his Hearts account as his stoppage-time winner snatched a 2-1 victory over Partick Thistle at Firhill.

Jambos right-back Callum Paterson - the recent subject of two failed bids from Wigan - proved his worth to the Tynecastle side as he nodded home the 17th-minute opener.

But Liam Lindsay handed the Jags a deserved equaliser when he headed home from Chris Erskine's corner 10 minutes into the second period.

However, just as the match was heading for a draw there was a cruel blow for the hosts when Watt fired past Tomas Cerny to hand his side a second straight Premiership triumph.

The win takes Hearts up to third place but Partick have now slipped to 11th and are only above Inverness on goal difference.

Dougie Imrie was the hero as Hamilton bagged their first win of the season and only their second in 16 home games with a 1-0 victory over Ross County at New Douglas Park.

Imrie pounced in the 76th minute to slam home his fourth goal of the season following good play by Darian MacKinnon during a goalmouth scramble.

The goal came just seconds after County had nearly taken the lead as Alex Schalk's cross found Michael Gardyne at the back post, who forced a terrific one-handed save from Remi Matthews.

The goal was probably deserved for Hamilton, who had more chances even if County's were more potent at times.

Motherwell and Dundee both lacked attacking inspiration in a goalless contest at Fir Park.

The hosts dominated the first half without getting a shot on target and neither side carved out a real clear-cut chance during a more even second period.

Both sides have failed to win since the opening day of the season and neither did enough in the opposition box to justify victory.
