Tournament favourites Hibernian eased into the last 16 of the Irn Bru Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win at Highland League side Turriff United.

Neil Lennon's men were never in any danger of crashing out and ensured progression to round four with goals from Fraser Murray, Brian Graham and Martin Boyle.

The result means Hibs will be in the draw on Tuesday, when Welsh sides The New Saints and Bala Two enter the competition with Northern Ireland's Linfield and Crusaders.

Lennon included a number of academy players in his squad as he gave some of his more high-profile players, including Jason Cummings and Grant Holt, a day off.

One of the youngsters he introduced -  17-year-old Murray - put them ahead on his debut after 16 minutes when he converted Martin Boyle's reverse pass.

The visitors were soon two up as Brian Graham nodded in Dylan McGeouch's cross and Hibs had further chances to make it three before the break.

Instead, they had to wait until the closing stages before rounding off their win, Boyle collecting from Alex Harris before driving the clincher beyond keeper Kevin Main.
