Celtic will wear a special kit for the Scottish Cup final to commemorate 50 years since the Lisbon Lions won the European Cup.

Celtic have launched their new kit for the 2017/18 season which pays tribute to the Lisbon Lions 50 years on from their European Cup triumph.

The New Balance kit was launched at a gala event on Celtic Way on Thursday afternoon, with current first-team players and members of the Lisbon Lions on hand.

Celtic have opted for a kit which mirrors the look of their 1967 shirt, and it carries a specially-commissioned gold crest which will only be used for one season.

The inner neck of the club's new shirt pays further tribute to Lisbon in the form of a band with Celtic green and white and the black and blue of Italian giants FC Internazionale.

Inter were the losing side on that famous night in Lisbon - May 25, 1967 - when Celtic battled back from conceding an early lead to Sandro Mazzola's penalty.

The Hoops, with a side almost entirely made up of local players, had more than 40 efforts on goal in response including their second half goals from Tommy Gemmell and Stevie Chalmers, who scored the famous winning goal seven minutes from time.
