Hearts maintain top spot in the Scottish Premiership following a 2-1 victory at Ross County.

Osman Sow fired Robbie Neilson's men in front in the 11th minute and just three minutes later Alim Ozturk deflected a Callum Paterson shot beyond home keeper Scott Fox.

Liam Boyce pulled one back from the penalty spot for County shortly before half time but the Jambos were rarely troubled as they maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.

Like Hearts, Aberdeen remain unbeaten after they came from behind to beat Motherwell 2-1 at Fir Park for their third successive victory of the campaign.

Marvin Johnson gave the hosts the perfect start when following up a Scott McDonald drive to put Ian Baraclough's side ahead with just five minutes on the clock.

But former Celtic winger Niall McGinn levelled in the 25th minute with a cross which evaded everyone in the home penalty box and Ash Taylor ensured all three points returned to Pittodrie with a fine header just after the hour mark.

Hamilton Accies secured their first win of the season in stunning style with a 4-0 demolition of Jackie McNamara's Dundee United at New Douglas Park.

The visitors were given the runaround from the off and had no answer to the pace and drive of the home side who took the lead through the impressive Ali Crawford in the 19th minute.

A powerful header from Lucas Tagliapietra (36) and a Carlton Morris close-range effort three minutes later put the game beyond United whose misery was complete when Christian Nade ended the rout in the 90th minute.

Substitute Kris Boyd came off the bench to secure a point for Kilmarnock after two goals from Kris Doolan looked like giving 10-man Partick Thistle a deserved victory at Firhill.

Doolan fired the Jags in front in the ninth minute - Thistle's first goal of the season - only to see the advantage cancelled out by Rory McKenzie seven minutes before the break.

Thistle saw their numbers cut when young central defender Liam Lindsay was sent off in the 65th minute for a 'last man challenge' on Mark O'Hara but they looked like ending the day victorious when Doolan struck again with 12 minutes remaining.

But veteran striker Boyd ensured Killie built on their midweek draw with Celtic when silencing the home crowd with an 85th-minute downward header beyond the reach of home keeper Tomas Cerny.

Celtic bounced back from that 2-2 draw at Rugby Park with a 4-2 home victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

After parading new signing Scott Allan before the kick-off, the champions were ahead when Mikael Lustig headed in a pinpoint Stefan Johansen free kick in the eighth minute.

Leigh Griffiths added a second shortly after and two goals early in the second half from Stuart Armstrong had the Hoops on easy street.

However, the defensive lapses which resulted in them shedding points in midweek returned and two late goals from Ryan Christie and Dani Lopez had the Parkhead faithful shuffling in their seats until the final whistle sounded.

Dundee maintained their fine start to the season with a 2-1 victory over St Johnstone in the Tayside derby at Dens Park.

James McPake headed Paul Hartley's side in front in the 16th minute and Kane Hemmings nodded in a second shortly before half time to put the Dark Blues in command.

But Saints came into the game in the second half and were twice denied in front of the home goal before Steven MacLean reduced the deficit in the 54th minute.

However, it was Saints keeper Alan Mannus who ensured the scoreline remained unchanged as he denied Nick Ross with a fine stop with the midfielder clean through on goal.
