Celtic's schoolboy sensation Karamoko Dembele has been called up by the Scotland U16 squad for the forthcoming Victory Shield tournament.
The 13-year-old made headlines around the world earlier this month after video of his appearance for Celtic's development team, and his earlier eye-catching displays for the Hoops' U13 and U15 sides, were widely shared on social media.
Now Dembele is being fast-tracked by SFA chiefs in a bid to keep him away from the clutches of the Ivory Coast, where his family originate, and England, the youngster having been born in London.
The Victory Shield is an annual football tournament for the U16 teams of Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales. This year's renewal takes place at at Heriot-Watt University's Riccarton campus in Edinburgh.
The Scottish youngsters will play Northern Ireland on October 30, then Wales on November 1 before their final game against the Republic of Ireland on November 4.
