Celtic fans could get their first sight of new signing Marvin Compper in a hooped shirt against Dundee on Wednesday night.
The 32-year-old German defender arrived at the Parkhead club from RB Leipzig during the transfer window for a reported fee of £1m but picked up a calf injury training in Dubai.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers revealed Compper has a chance to be involved against the Taysiders, along with on-loan winger Patrick Roberts, fit again after recovering from a hamstring problem which has kept him out since November.
Kristoffer Ajer will be assessed after picking up a head knock after clashing with fellow defender Jozo Simunovic in the 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday which took the Hoops nine points clear of Rangers.
Rodgers said: "Patrick should be available for the squad, that was our idea to work him back for the Dundee game.
"So he played for the development team end of last week.
"He has been working very hard and we will assess Marvin Compper as well, so there is a possibility that Marvin could be involved as well.
"We need to assess Kristoffer over the next 24 hours on that one because his eye was fully closed.
"He took a real bad knock on his head and on his shin but he has had that patched up.
"It will just be the eye. We will see how that responds over next 24 hours."
