Ibrox roof issue delays Rangers game

Rangers' match against Dumbarton was delayed for 10 minutes on Tuesday night due to safety issues relating to the roof of the stand.
The start to the second half was held up for almost 10 minutes as some fans were moved from the bottom half of the Sandy Jardine Stand to the family stand due to "fabric" issues.
A spokesman for Rangers said: "Some fans in the Sandy Jardine Stand, section GF4, were relocated to the Broomloan Stand as a precautionary measure when safety staff at the stadium identified a loose piece of roofing fabric."
They were then shown to the Broomloan Front, behind one of the goals, to take their seats for the remainder of the game.
Match commander Chief Inspector Simon Jeacocke said: "At about 20.45 hours, material from a section of the lower roof of the Govan Stand at Ibrox football park in Glasgow became loose during the Rangers v Dumbarton football match.
"Approximately 740 spectators were moved to another area of the ground as a precaution, causing the scheduled start of the second half of the match to be delayed.
"No people were injured during the incident and Rangers' maintenance staff are investigating and conducting temporary repairs. The match has since resumed."
Rangers went on to win the game 4-0.
