Rangers midfielder Josh Windass is expected to miss the Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen at Ibrox on Saturday.

The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the Glasgow derby against Partick at Firhill last Saturday.

Windass missed the 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle in midweek, his former Accrington Stanley team-mate Matt Crooks came in for just his third start of the season in that match, and could start again.

Central defender Clint Hill has not played in the past two games after picking up a knock in the match against Dundee in November, but the 38-year-old is available.

Should Hill not play, Danny Wilson will retain his place have returned to the starting team in his absence.

Rangers have won just one league match in seven attempts against the teams who finished in the top six last season.

Aberdeen are looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat to Celtic in the League Cup final at Hampden when they travel to Glasgow for the second week in succession.
