Rangers to appeal Ryan Jack red card against Hibernian

Rangers have notified their intention to appeal Ryan Jack's red card from Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Hibernian.

The Ibrox club have until 3pm on Tuesday to formally submit the appeal and, as it is a fast-track issue, it will be deliberated upon on Thursday.

From the same game, the SFA compliance officer also has until 3pm on Tuesday to decide if Anthony Stokes should receive a notice of complaint for an incident prior to Jack's red card.

Meanwhile, Hearts have notified their intention to appeal Esmael Goncalves' red card from the game with Kilmarnock and Motherwell will appeal two of the three red cards from the game with St Johnstone, believed to be those given to Trevor Carson and Charles Dunne.

There is no time-scale for the compliance officer to examine the incident involving Hibernian manager Neil Lennon but it is understood there will not be a decision until later in the week at the earliest.
