Rangers boss Mark Warburton said he was happy to see his players arguing among themselves following their straightforward 3-0 win over Livingston.
Lee Wallace, Martyn Waghorn and Nicky Law were on target as the Gers made it six straight victories in the league to maintain their 100 per cent start to the Scottish Championship season.
Warburton revealed he stood back and listened as his players vented their frustration towards one another after the final whistle.
He said: "We fell way below our standards today. There is no lack of respect to the opposition - far from it - but we know that today we didn't move the ball well.
"We didn't take care of it. We didn't create enough chances. We dropped too deep.
"But the good thing from that is that we had an inquest. The players demanded it and we let them talk.
"The players were angry because they weren't at the right level this afternoon. They had a few heated words and that's great because we will work hard this week and demand even more.
"That's a healthy thing to do. We have to recognise that we can't go and steamroller teams every week.
"There are some really good teams in this league, so we have to take care and make better decisions."
Wallace netted the opener in the 16th minute, Waghorn added a second before the break and Law completed the scoring with 10 minutes remaining.
Visiting boss Mark Burchill said: "I think anyone who was watching would see that the gulf between Rangers and Livingston isn't anywhere near as big as anyone was expecting.
"But there is no way in a million years that Rangers won't win the league and I have absolutely no doubt that we will get ourselves out of this position pretty soon.
"I am looking in that dressing room and I feel I had some good performances there."
