A frustrated Derek McInnes says it's time for the speculation to stop

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has underlined his "exasperation" about speculation linking him with Rangers as he reiterated his chairman's message that he is going nowhere.

McInnes has been heavily touted for the Ibrox vacancy for the last month and has faced regular questions despite a lack of movement from Rangers.

And chairman Stewart Milne attempted to draw a line under the situation during an in-house interview on Thursday.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Sky Live trip to Kilmarnock, McInnes said: "I just reiterate what he said. I'm happy here, I said all along that this is where I see myself and nothing changes that.

"I can't do anything about speculation. I have never commented on speculation and I don't feel the need to comment on speculation now.

"Nobody has really asked me about West Brom, I got asked one question about the Scotland job a month ago and I answered it and nobody has asked it again. The Celtic manager doesn't get asked about the Everton job or anything else.

"This is purely driven by rumour and speculation and enough is enough.

"We work for Aberdeen here and we get on with Aberdeen's business and I feel it's important we move on. That's why I totally endorse what the chairman says and I'm happy to reiterate everything he has said. I just want to move on with that."

The former Rangers player added: "Everybody gets a bit exasperated about it. I think it's wrong for us to be continually speaking about another club's situation.

"If people want to ask me about it, I think they should actually get themselves down to that club and ask the questions there. Stop asking people at Aberdeen, the manager and the players about speculation."
