Alim Ozturk has completed his move from Hearts to Turkish side Boluspor.

The 24-year-old defender has signed an 18-month contract with Boluspor having negotiated his release from the Jambos over the weekend.

Ozturk joined Hearts in 2014 and helped the club win promotion back to the Scottish Premiership during his first season at Tynecastle.

He was made Hearts captain on their return to the top flight and helped them finish in third place, earning a spot in the Europa League.

However, the former Turkish Under-21 international fell out of favour under former manager Robbie Neilson and was stripped of the captaincy in September, with Perry Kitchen replacing him.

Ozturk scored six goals in 72 appearances for Hearts, including most memorably a thunderous 40-yard injury-time equaliser against Hibernian at Easter Road three years ago.
