Hibernian have been celebrating their Scottish Cup success with a bus parade

Hibernian fans were out in force on the streets of Edinburgh on Sunday to celebrate the club's Scottish Cup victory.

Hibs beat Rangers 3-2 in a thrilling final at Hampden Park, although most of the headlines subsequently written were about the violent scenes that marred the moments after the final whistle was blown.

But that did not dampen the mood in Scotland's capital city, with thousands of supporters dressed in green and white lining the streets as Hibs paraded the trophy.

The squad boarded an open-top bus and were cheered all the way from City Chambers, down the iconic Princes Street and all the way along Leith Walk to Leith Links.

Speaking after the game on Saturday, Hibs manager Alan Stubbs said: "I have felt we were going to win this for the last six weeks. I have dreamt of winning it, I thought we were going to win 3-1 and I wasn't far away.

"I am pleased for everybody - the club, supporters and the board that have backed me 100 per cent. This is now a reward for what they have done."
