Hibernian have signed Israel international goalkeeper Ofir Marciano on a season-long loan deal.
The 26-year-old, who joins from FC Ashdod, has played in the top two tiers of domestic football in Israel and with Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian Pro League.
"I am very happy to be here. I have had a look at the stadium today and am very excited about coming here and playing in front of the fans, he said in an interview with the club's official website.
"I know the club's ambitions. There's an expectation after the cup win last season and I hope we can meet these and make the fans happy."
Hibernian manager Neil Lennon says that Marciano will be the club's starting goalkeeper and could make his debut in Saturday's Scottish Championship fixture against Falkirk.
"He will be coming in as No 1, that's the plan. He's an international goalkeeper who has very good attributes but we'll wait and see how he is before making a decision about the weekend, Lennon told the Edinburgh News.
