John McGinn, Liam Buchanan and Shane Sutherland honoured at PFA Scotland awards

Hibernian’s John McGinn has been named as the PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old midfielder landed the accolade ahead of Hibernian team-mate Jason Cummings, Queen of the South forward Stephen Dobbie and Morton's Ross Forbes.

Liam Buchanan was named League One Player of the Year ahead of Livingston team-mate Danny Mullen, Alloa midfielder Jordan Kirkpatrick and Airdrie striker Andy Ryan.

Elgin City forward Shane Sutherland collected the League Two Player of the Year award.

The PFA Scotland Merit Award was given to the Scottish Women's football team who made history by qualifying for the first major tournament in their history.
