Falkirk's Myles Hippolyte has accepted a two-game ban for simulation after his somersault dive to win a penalty against Dunfermline.

Dunfermline were left fuming after Bairns winger Hippolyte was awarded a spot-kick when he flew extravagantly over 'keeper Sean Murdoch, who had dived at his feet.

To their collective disbelief, referee George Duncan pointed to the spot and Aaron Muirhead went on to level from 12 yards.

Falkirk would go on and win 2-1 to end any lingering hopes Dunfermline had of reaching the play-offs for a place in the Scottish Premiership.

A Falkirk statement read: "We can confirm that a notice of complaint has been issued to midfielder Myles Hippolyte by the SFA Compliance Officer.

"Having reviewed the notice and evidence put forward by the Compliance Officer, we can confirm that Myles has accepted an immediate two-match suspension.
