Stuart McCall insists he will not return to Motherwell

Former Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has ruled himself out of the running to fill the current vacancy at Fir Park.
The Steelmen sacked McCall's replacement Ian Baraclough after just nine months in the job, following the 3-2 defeat by Morton in the League Cup last week.
McCall was in charge of Motherwell for four years and guided his team to a Champions League qualifier in 2012, and successive second-place finishes, as well as a Scottish Cup final defeat, all to Celtic.
He left the Lanarkshire club after a poor run of results last season, and spent three months in charge of Rangers who lost to Motherwell in the relegation play-offs.
But McCall, who is currently an assistant coach in Gordon Strachan's Scotland set-up, believes he should avoid the temptation to go back to Fir Park.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ he said: "I won't be returning to Motherwell. I think some Motherwell fans probably remember the last dozen games as opposed to the first 160.
"But the levels of success we had there, getting to the Champions League, Scottish Cup final, finishing second, runners-up to Celtic twice, I don't think we could match that again for a long time.
"I had my time, I loved my time there, but it's not something I'll be revisiting. A lot of people say, never go back.
"It's a club I'm very fond of but it won't be for me to contemplate going back there. "
Motherwell revealed the club has had 75 applications for the manager's job, and although McCall is not among them, he has not ruled himself out of taking over at Dundee United.
The Tannadice club are seeking a replacement for Jackie McNamara, who was dismissed following a poor start to the Scottish Premiership campaign.
McCall said: "Regarding Dundee United, a bigger club and fanbase wise, certainly a bigger budget, I think the third biggest in Scotland, good history, been in a couple of Scottish Cup finals of late, should be challenging for a European spot, so that might be one of interest.
"But if I'm honest, I'm really focused on a week tomorrow, which is Scotland playing Poland in probably our biggest game for years."
