Paris St Germain slipped to their first home league defeat in nearly two years as goals from Wagner Love and Fabinho secured Monaco a shock 2-0 win.

The Brazilian pair struck second-half goals to inflict on runaway leaders PSG their first league defeat at Parc des Princes since May 7, 2014 when they lost 2-1 to Rennes in their penultimate home game of the 2013/14 season.

It was all one-way traffic in the first period with Zlatan Ibrahimovic spurning two of the best chances before the break.

But Monaco stunned their hosts by taking a 65th-minute lead when Fabinho's inch-perfect cross was turned home by Love and three minutes later Fabinho picked himself up after being fouled in the area by David Luiz and converted the subsequent penalty.

PSG laid siege on the Monaco goal in the closing stages but Jean-Kevin Augustin, Luiz, Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic were all off target and Monaco held on to extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches.

Nice leapfrogged Rennes into third spot thanks to a third successive league victory with a straightforward 3-0 home win against out-of-sorts GFC Ajaccio.

Hatem Ben Arfa opened the scoring with a superb solo goal in the 14th minute and set up Alassane Plea (66) for Nice's second before Jean Seri added a third by burying Valere Germain's cutback in stoppage time.

Ulrich Rame's first game in charge of Bordeaux ended disappointingly as Les Girondins were held at home to a 1-1 draw by Bastia.

The majority in a sparse-looking Stade Atlantique crowd hoped to witness a first home league win since January but, following a largely uninspiring opening 45 minutes, the home team left for the dressing rooms amid a chorus of boos.

Diego Contento appeared to have clinched Bordeaux their first league win in five matches when he fired home a fine shot into the bottom corner in the 82nd minute, but Axel Ngando headed a equaliser two minutes later for Bastia, whose winless run extended to four matches.
