Ligue 1 round-up: Thomas Lemar at the double as Monaco pull clear of Paris Saint-Germain

Thomas Lemar fired a late double as Monaco moved three points clear of Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1 with a 3-0 win against Rennes.

Midfielder Lemar followed up his Champions League goal in Monaco's 2-1 midweek win at Tottenham with two more in the closing stages against Rennes after Falcao had set them on their way in the first half.

Colombia international Falcao headed Monaco into a 42nd-minute lead and Lemar struck in the 90th minute before adding his second in time added on.

PSG had drawn level on points with Monaco and Nice on Friday night following their 6-0 thrashing of Caen. Nice play at Montpellier on Sunday.

Ten-man Metz climbed above Nice into third place following their goalless draw at Dijon.

Metz midfielder Cheick Doukoure was sent off in the 58th minute for his second yellow card before Dijon striker Frederic Sammaritano's 80th-minute penalty was saved by Metz goalkeeper Thomas Diddillon after Ismaila Sarr's foul on Arnold Bouka Moutou.

Bordeaux lost ground on the top three as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Angers, who notched their first away win of the season.

Karl Toko Ekambi struck the only goal of the game in the 38th minute, while Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan was shown a straight red card in the 85th minute for his foul on Pierrick Capelle.

Loic Puyo's 72nd-minute free-kick rescued a point for AS Nancy in a 1-1 home draw against Nantes, who had taken a 66th-minute lead through Mariusz Stepinski.

Lorient secured their first win of the season with a 1-0 home victory against Lille courtesy of Benjamin Moukandjo's 76th-minute penalty after Stoppila Sunzu had handled.

Lorient remain bottom of the table on goal difference, while Lille slipped to a second straight defeat.

Ten-man Guingamp slipped to their first league defeat of the season as they went down 2-1 at Toulouse.

Guingamp were reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute when Swedish goalkeeper Karl-Johan Johnsson was shown a straight red card for deliberately handling the ball outside his area.

Striker Thibault Giresse was sacrificed for substitute goalkeeper Theo Guivarch before Guingamp took the lead through Jimmy Briand's 54th-minute penalty for Alban Lafont's foul on Yannis Salibur.

But Toulouse levelled through Martin Braithwaite's spot-kick (63) after Salibur had fouled Steeve Yago, and Jimmy Durmaz fired the home side's winner two minutes later.
