Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-0 win over Dijon which moves them top of Ligue 1.

Unai Emery's men made the most of the opportunity of playing first in the midweek round of matches to edge ahead of Monaco, who travel to fellow high-flyers Nice on Wednesday, by goal difference.

The home side took the lead in the 15th minute when Dijon defender Adam Lang deflected Maxwell's pass beyond his own keeper.

Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani added a second from the penalty spot after 27 minutes following a foul on Adrien Rabiot.

PSG continued to dominated and were 3-0 up in the 67th minute when Lucas Moura headed in a cross from Maxwell.

In Tuesday night's only other game, Ola Toivonen scored twice as Toulouse maintained their promising start with a 2-1 win in Lille.

Pascal Dupraz's side, who are now up into third place, kept in touch with the early pacesetters following a goal in each half from the veteran Swedish forward.

Toivonen, who had an indifferent spell in England with Sunderland last season, put the visitors ahead 12 minutes in with a fine individual goal after running through the home defence.

Lille equalised in the 34th minute when defender Marko Basa got up to head in a free-kick, but Toivonen made sure of all three points with another neat finish 12 minutes from time following a swift counter-attack.
