Edinson Cavani scored his 100th Paris Saint Germain goal as the champions kept up the pressure on league-leading Nice with a routine 2-0 win against Angers.

Thiago Silva's header set Unai Emery's men on their way before the Uruguay international reached a famous milestone direct from the penalty spot midway through the second half.

Hatem Ben Arfa's trickery drew a foul from Romain Thomas inside the area and Cavani kept his cool, before uncovering a t-shirt tribute to the victims of the Chapecoense plane crash.

The reigning champions are now one point behind Nice, who beat Guingamp 1-0 thanks to Younes Belhanda's solo goal.

With Monaco drawing at Dijon on Tuesday evening, Les Aiglons knew that a win would take them back to the summit and they had the Moroccan to thank in the absence of Mario Balotelli, who was out with a calf problem.

Belhanda struck in the fifth minute, curling in from the edge of the box after being played in by Jean Seri.

Elsewhere, Lyon bounced back emphatically from defeat to PSG to win 6-0 at Nantes.

Corentin Tolisso opened the scoring after tapping in Rafael's cross before Alexandre Lacazette's spot-kick and a Maxime Gonalons effort made it three before the break.

Second-half goals from Mathieu Valbuena, Mouctar Diakhaby and Nabil Fekir wrapped up a win that sent Lyon fourth.

Bordeaux missed the chance to climb into the top four as they were held 1-1 at lowly Bastia.

Both goals came in the second half with Thievy Bifouma sliding in before Gaetan Laborde dinked a fine finish over goalkeeper Jean-Louis Leca with 12 minutes left.

Bastia defender Florian Marange was shown a straight red for a foul on Jeremy Menez but Bordeaux could not find a winner against 10 men.

Nancy moved out of the relegation zone and up to 13th with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Metz.

Benoit Pedretti's free-kick was followed up by goals from Joffrey Cuffaut, Issiar Dia and Youssef Ait Bennasser, while Metz defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Issiaga Sylla's first-half goal earned Toulouse a 1-0 win over Montpellier while St Etienne and Marseille played out a goalless draw at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
