Cedric Carrasso has been rewarded with a new contract at Marseille after impressing this season.The 24-year-old has deputised in the absence of the suspended Fabien Barthez, clearly making a favourable impression on coach Jean Fernandez.
Barthez has now returned to first team duties after a six-month ban, with Carrasso having to content himself with a place on the bench.
Carrasso has put pen-to-paper on a deal that keeps him at the French giants until 2009.
